In 1953 a group of local anglers founded Ashton Keynes Angling Club to develop and promote the increasing number of gravel pits in the area. Since then the Club has grown and now controls some of the finest mixed coarse fishing in the Cotswold Water Park. All of the Club’s waters offer general and specimen fishing for carp, pike, tench, bream, perch and roach .
Neighbridge Lake (Lake 56) has a purpose built swim with wheel chair access for the less able-bodied angler. There is easy access with close parking to many of the swims on some of the Club’s lakes.
In addition to the ‘members only’ waters, two lakes are available for fishing on a day ticket basis. They are, Neighbridge lake and Large lake, both are open all the year. Large lake is located within the Cotswold Country Park (formerly Keynes Country Park). Day tickets can be purchased from various outlets locally
