Established in 1968 by Mr. Walter Benbow, who now runs the game shoot &; course fishery, as the Thurlaston Gun Club, the Normanton Shooting Ground is run by his son Stephen, and his wife April, and now is a thriving centre for the regular and novice clay shooter to participate at this popular sport.

waste of money and time very unpopular unfriendly place to have any sort of fun day out whatsoever, grumpy old man who doesnt own the land just tenants it but thinks hes the lord of thurlaston,,poor day for leicestershire
This is one of the most friendly shooting grounds I have visited, the guys that run it (Mick I think) couldn’t have been more welcoming and encouraging, they even offered to follow me round the next time I went FOC. Great club with a relaxed but safe atmosphere not colicky at all.
