Archery Experience at Garlands Leisure
Activity Summary
Archery is a fun sport that you can take up at any age. The aim is to shoot at the target of coloured rings with modern Olympic style archery equipment to score points. Archers try to get each of the arrows into the centre of the archery target. The competition becomes more and more difficult as the archery target faces reduce in size for each successive round.

Session Time and Availability
Our archery activity lasts for 1 ½ hours. Participants have a practice session to develop technique, followed by an archery competition, taking part either individually or in teams. Medals are awarded to the top 3 archers, or a teamprize for the top archery team.
Requirements
All you need to bring to take part in archery is yourself. However, please take note of the points below to ensure that you are suitably dressed for the activity. Appropriate clothing must be worn (arms and legs should be covered)Baggy tops and scarves must be removed. Appropriate footwear must be worn (flat shoes or trainers – no sandals or high heels)Large earrings or facial jewellery must be removed. Long hair must be tied back

Minimum age for Archery is 12. All under 16′s must also be accompanied by an adult
