Here’s the perfect gift for those interested in the ultimate adventure of a helicopter flying lesson. At Phoenix we offer a range of helicopter trial lesson gift experiences starting from just £100. Each experience is a full lesson enabling you to have a full one to one experience with an instructor and also the chance to take the controls along the beautiful West Sussex coast line or discover the South Downs from the air. Phoenix Helicopters are based at Goodwood Aerodrome, ideal for making your experience a full day out.

R22 Lessons are for individuals, whereas the R44 lessons are for groups of 3.
Session Time and Availability
You can purchase between 30 minutes and 4 hours flying time for your ultimate helicopter experience. The 15 minute trial lessons are only carried out on certain days, normally the first Sunday of each month. The other lessons are free for you to choose a date to suit you. All our lessons include a pre flight briefing and the opportunity for you to have hands-on control. As we are in free airspace we also have no limits to where we can go and you can choose.

Option 1: R22 – 15 Minute Lesson
Normally only carried out on the first Sunday of each month in order to maximise your time in the air.This is the Goodwood Breakfast club day,a free event held were owners display there cars on the Goodwood Race Track. This voucher is designed simply to give you a taste of aviation.

Option 2: R22 – 30 minute lesson
A full one hour with one of our instructors including a pre flight briefing and 30 minutes flying. A good introduction and we can easily reach the coast in 30 minutes.

Option 3: R22 60 Minutes
A full one and a half hours experience with 60 minutes flying. In 60 minutes we can easily reach Portsmouth and even the edge of Brighton .

Option 4: R22 Discovery Experience
A full 4 hours morning or afternoon with our instructors and a full two hours flying. Ideal for a start to a PPL as we can give you a really good introduction and it all counts towards your PPL.

Option 5: R44 30 Minutes
A full hour with an instructor and 30 minutes flying. Due to the speed of the R44 we can certainly reach Portsmouth. This is a voucher for 3 people.
