Hot Air Ballooning Experiences: The Ballooning Business at Huntingdon
Activity Summary
Ballooning is a participation sport and passengers will be invited to involve themselves in preparing the balloon for flight and packing it up after the landing. The Pilot conducting the flight will greet the passengers and instruct them on the conduct of the flight and brief them on the safety matters involved.

Session Time and Availability
Flights take place within 2 hours of Dawn or Dusk. Passengers are required to arrive at a specified time, this will vary throughout the year. The flight itself normally lasts for around an hour and the total experience normally lasts three to four hours. The Main Flying Season is usually from the beginning of April through to the end of October. Actual Flight Dates will depend on our scheduling.
Requirements
Passengers need to be reasonably fit, able to climb into the basket, which is about 4’ high, stand for around an hour and be able to crouch in the landing position for a minute or two. Minimum height 4’ 6”. All under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Pregnant women will not be flown.
You need to dress in the sort of clothes that you would wear on a country walk, with arms and legs fully covered. Footwear should be suitable for walking in fields, so no sandals or high heels please. A hat can be useful to shield the head from the heat generated by the balloon burners. Even if you do not feel it is a disability you must inform us of any limitations on your physical abilities.
